Dr. Thompson is a board-trained hematologist and medical oncologist at Oncura Health, with additional specialization in palliative care medicine, supporting patients through every stage of their cancer journey with a focus on both treatment and quality of life.
She graduated from Johns Hopkins University and earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. Dr. Thompson completed her Internal Medicine residency at Drexel University Hospital, followed by fellowship training in Palliative Care Medicine and Hematology and Oncology at Georgetown University.
Dr. Thompson has also contributed to oncology research and clinical innovation, serving as a Research Assistant at Georgetown University Hospital Lombardi Cancer Center within the Developmental Therapeutics Program. Her work has been published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, reflecting her commitment to advancing cancer treatment and patient care.
