Dr. Shahrooz Eshaghian is a triple board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist at Oncura Health, with over a decade of experience treating a broad range of cancers, hematologic malignancies, and blood disorders. He is known for delivering highly personalized, patient-centered cancer care, combining advanced clinical expertise with a compassionate approach.
Dr. Eshaghian graduated summa cum laude from University of California Los Angeles with College Honors and Phi Beta Kappa distinction. He earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he received special distinction in hematology and oncology research. He completed his internship and residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, followed by a Hematology and Oncology fellowship at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where he served as Chief Fellow.
Throughout his career, Dr. Eshaghian has been actively involved in oncology research, with work presented at national conferences and published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. He serves on the board of the Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research and continues to contribute to advancements in multiple myeloma and cancer treatment.
In addition to his role at Oncura Health, Dr. Eshaghian is an attending physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a clinical instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He has been widely recognized for his clinical excellence, named a Southern California Super Doctor for six consecutive years and a Los Angeles Magazine Top Doctor since 2020.
Dr. Eshaghian is passionate about helping patients feel informed and supported, taking the time to clearly explain diagnoses and treatment options while providing thoughtful, compassionate guidance throughout their care journey. Patients can expect personal attention, clarity, and partnership every step of the way.
Fluent in Farsi and proficient in Hebrew, Dr. Eshaghian is able to connect with and serve a diverse patient population.
Outside of his practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, as well as traveling, photography, cooking, basketball, swimming, teaching, reading and film.
