Dr. Alexander Song is a board-trained hematologist and medical oncologist at Oncura Health, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders, with a particular focus on immunotherapy and advanced cancer treatments. He is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based oncology care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.


Dr. Song earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Sociology from Case Western Reserve University, graduating cum laude. He received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.


He went on to complete his Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at the Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he served as Chief Fellow and developed advanced expertise in multidisciplinary cancer care and innovative therapies.


Dr. Song brings extensive experience in oncology research, with a focus on immunotherapy and emerging cancer treatments, helping expand options for patients through the latest advancements in care. He is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH), staying engaged with the evolving landscape of cancer treatment and research.


Fluent in Korean, Dr. Song is able to serve a diverse patient population and improve access to care across communities.


At Oncura Health, Dr. Song focuses on helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, guiding them with clarity, compassion, and confidence throughout their cancer journey.


Outside of his practice, he enjoys watching sports, exploring new restaurants, and spending time in Los Angeles with his wife and two dogs.
